The URL2Disk was designed to be a command line program which you to download files from the internet and save them to disk. The source locations can be either HTTP or FTP servers, and the destination can be a local disk, or a server (for instance: server). This application can be useful when used in a script or batchfile to automate backups.
You can download web pages, images, audio, and any other file located on the web, as long as you know the full address to the file. You can also rename the file as it is stored on the local disk.
The application requires two parameters, the first being the source file. Input the full location of the file, as you would in the address bar of your browser (HTTP and FTP servers supported). The destination parameter can be either a local drive or a shared folder on your network (like: servershare). If you enable the optional logging switch (-l) then the program will generate a log of its attempt to download the file, in a log kept in the same directory as the EXE.
